A sky garden has just opened atop the Walkie Talkie’s crown floor, but it’s open to reservations-only. No sweat, right? Well…
The 35th, 36th, and 37th floors of 20 Fenchurch Street, the Walkie Talkie’s official name, now host a domed sky garden with three fine dining options and offer a fantastic view of London.
Gourmands also swear that the gourmet cuts at Fenchurch Seafood Bar & Grill, sourced from British herds and aged in wine for at least 35 days, are to die for. Tea and sandwiches are also must-have treats at either Darwin Brasserie or Sky Pod Bar, perfect for watching the vibrant London sunset.
These spots sure sound inviting; the problem is, everyone else thinks so, too. Both the sky garden and its dining outlets quickly run out of slots. Even a lone visitor to the garden would have to book three days to three months in advance. With only 9,000 square feet of park space, there’s a good reason for limiting the number of people occupying it at any given time.
Fortunately, the restaurants are slightly easier to get into. After 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, the premises are allotted to bar and restaurant patrons. You can enjoy both the good food and the evening skyline with a reservation, especially in Fenchurch Seafood’s private dining rooms, which can seat up to 18 guests. In any case, try to book way in advance to ensure your slot.
If your busy schedule hardly permits you to find time to make an early reservation, then let a London concierge service such as SORTED Personal Management do it for you. Concierges have a broad knowledge of the city’s finest and most popular entertainment spots. They may even get you a slot even if a particular place is fully booked.
If necessary, your concierge can also arrange for home services, e.g. babysitters, while you’re away. That way, you can enjoy the best of London without having to worry about domestic matters.
Getting into the hottest restaurants and nightspots in London on short notice can be a bit tricky. With highly recommended lifestyle concierge services, however, you can be an early bird in every new hotspot in town.
